Requirements
- a significant amount of experience working in private practice for no more than ten years in a prestigious Nigerian legal firm, as well as a Certificate of Call to Bar as a solicitor and barrister of the Supreme Court of Nigeria for at least five years.
- a law degree (LL. B Hons.) from a university in Nigeria. Holding a Master’s degree (LL.M.) will confer additional benefits.
- substantial background in team integration, project management, and/or leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate with a wide spectrum of internal and external stakeholders as well as commercial clients.
- Proficiency in handling conflicts involving sovereign governments or entities owned by the state is preferred.
- a strong external network among Nigeria’s dispute community members.
- Understanding Nigerian judicial procedure and evidentiary rules
- Learner attitude and capacity for self-sufficiency
- Capacity to collaborate in teams across jurisdictions.
