Position: State Technical Officer
Location: Kano | Type: Full-time | Qualification: BA/BSc/HND | Experience: 3-5 years
The officer will support malaria diagnosis and case management initiatives, including training health workers, supervising EQA processes, managing malaria commodity supply chains, and coordinating hospital assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct baseline assessments and organize health worker training for severe malaria case management.
- Collaborate on malaria commodity procurement and distribution plans.
- Coordinate EQA supervision and establish quality improvement teams in hospitals.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including SMEP, SMoH, and partners, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare activity reports and contribute to project sustainability and learning initiatives.
Requirements:
- Degree in Medicine, Public Health, Pharmacy, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in clinical or public health settings.
- Strong project management, technical malaria knowledge, and M&E skills.
- Proficiency in English and familiarity with Nigerian health systems.
